ImageHappy Thanksgiving Friends and Family! This year has been so special as Emalyn grows to enjoy and understand more each day. We had fun celebrating Gabi’s birthday and making new family traditions! My mom made her wonderful red velvet cake and carrot cake (which had Ella Grace dancing all afternoon!) as well as all the fixings to make for an extra special day. We were all full and happy, there is no doubt about that!

Before we all ate Gabi and I took Emalyn for a nice hike around my parents neighborhood to work up an appetite and after we were all full Dad took Emalyn on a fun wheelbarrow ride. ImageThis is a family tradition. My great-grandfather “paw-paw” who is no longer with us, used to take me for a ride in his wheelbarrow every Thanksgiving, actually every time I visited him on the farm. It was fun to watch the tradition be passed down to my little girl. Her smile was as big as the cake slice she just ate!!

As I was writing this post and thought Emalyn was upstairs IN her crib taking a nap I heard her banging on the door to her bedroom and went in to find that she had officially climbed out of her crib!!! I knew she was a really good climber as I find her on the kitchen table many times a day but Oh My! I was praying the crib would last longer!! Not sure it goes any lower, I will keep you posted. 🙂

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We have so much to be Thankful for!!Image
